Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced •General Manager – Track Services•to lead and oversee all aspects of track maintenance, construction, and repair operations. This is a senior-level role responsible for strategic planning, operational execution, and financial performance across multiple locations. The General Manager will ensure all projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards while driving continuous improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities :

As the General Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight for track maintenance, construction, and repair services. Ensuring operational excellence while maintaining compliance with OSHA, FRA, EPA, and DOT regulations will be at the core of this role. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that optimize performance and efficiency while aligning with company financial goals. Managing relationships with customers, vendors, and key stakeholders will be essential, ensuring high-quality service and alignment with client needs. In addition to overseeing project timelines and budgets, you will make data-driven decisions that enhance profitability and operational effectiveness. Leading a team of managers, supervisors, and frontline personnel, you will foster a high-performance culture through recruiting, training, and mentoring. Driving a strong safety culture, you will enforce compliance with protocols, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, maintaining and utilizing track service equipment effectively will be crucial, along with identifying opportunities for business growth and positioning the company as a leader in track infrastructure services.

Qualifications:

This role requires a strong background in track maintenance, construction, or related railroad services, along with demonstrated leadership experience. A solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with track maintenance equipment and procedures are essential. Candidates should possess the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and drive cost-effective operations. Strategic thinking, excellent communication, and negotiation skills are vital for success in this position, as well as a comprehensive understanding of OSHA, FRA, EPA, and DOT regulations. The ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational demands is necessary. Preference will be given to candidates with a Class A CDL or those willing to obtain one.
