If you are an experienced leader with a background in transportation, fleet management, or even crew operations such as landscaping, we want to hear from you. This role requires managing a team of drivers, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and maintaining compliance with FedEx Ground standards.

Salary Range :

$60,000-$75,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses. The set pay will be based on experience but will be in the range listed above.

Schedule :

Full-time; flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required. Job Description As the BC Manager, you will have a daily presence at the FedEx Ground terminal, ensuring all routes are properly staffed, vehicles are maintained, and deliveries are completed efficiently. You will lead driver recruitment and training, manage fleet operations, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while meeting company and FedEx performance standards. Must-Haves At least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check, DOT physical, and drug test. Physically capable of operating FedEx vehicles, including P1000, P1100, P1200, or 26-foot box trucks. – You will have to drive if a team member is out. A proven track record of leading teams. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in managing schedules, routes, and operational tools (e.g., DRO). Commercial driving experience Daily Operations Manage all daily P&D routes, ensuring every package is delivered on time and with care. Utilize the Dynamic Route Optimization (DRO) system to create, monitor, and adjust routes based on package volume and driver availability. Coordinate driver schedules, ensure attendance, and provide contingency coverage when needed (e.g., running overflow routes or covering absences). Fleet Management Oversee the fleet’s maintenance, scheduling regular service and repairs for all vehicles. Collaborate with external mechanics to ensure the fleet remains in top condition and avoid unnecessary breakdowns. Safety & Compliance Ensure all drivers adhere to safety protocols, hours-of-service regulations, and company policies. Perform routine evaluations of driver performance and compliance with FedEx Ground standards. Reporting & Communication Attend FedEx Ground meetings to report on operational metrics, address challenges, and align on goals. Complete and submit all required paperwork, such as payroll, driver logs, and performance reports, in a timely manner. Why Join Southern Coast Logistics?
