Transportation Manager Confidential Nashville, TN 37207 Job Summary The Transport Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all transportation operations within the organization. This role involves managing logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing routes, and leading a team of drivers and logistics personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of transportation management, and a commitment to enhancing operational efficiency. Duties Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Manage daily operations of the transport department, including scheduling and route planning. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are in safe operating condition. Lead, train, and evaluate transport staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies. Collaborate with other departments to align transportation needs with overall business objectives. Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Handle customer inquiries related to transportation services and resolve any issues that arise. Qualifications A Minimum of 5 years of management experience in transportation or related field Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation regulations.
