Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading a small crew of 3-5 employees, providing quality control of plants and directing employees in shipping and receiving duties at Summit’s Loxley location (15517 Flowerwood Road). Essential Functions and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Ensure that all plants pulled for orders abide by quality standards.
• Direct crew members in loading orders for customers and unloading trucks.
• Lead crew members in completing daily tasks, assisting with tasks as necessary.
• Pull orders as needed, driving a flatbed truck.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience managing or supervising employees. Competencies
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred. Physical Demands
• Occasionally lifts/pulls/carries up to 50 pounds.
• Walk, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls.
• On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, or reach above the shoulders.
• Regular mental demands such as comprehension, reasoning, decision making, and strong math skills.
