Successful candidate would have 1-3 years of commercial landscape experience or golf experience is preferred. Candidates that will be considered will have experience in a Crew Lead role supervising a crew. A Golf Crew Lead for ABM Landscape & Turf requires that you assist and supervise a crew to complete the scope of work required for an 18-hole golf course in the Tampa Bay area Work would include supervising staff and operating golf course maintenance equipment including greens/tee mowers, fairway mowers, utility vehicles, and spray rigs along with string-trimming, edging, backpack blowing, spraying / weeding beds and monitoring irrigation systems / repairing when necessary. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. Typical hours for the position will be 5:00AM – 1:00PM but can vary. Weekend work is required.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid Driver’s license One (1) year of similar experience required No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate work to crew members Maintain a work schedule, and ensure service expectations are met Report crew labor time Conduct training and development of team members Provide leader with updates regarding crew performance Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency Maintain property grounds Ensure proper maintenance of mowers, blowers, and sprinkler systems Perform removal, installation, and maintenance of plant material in beds and containers, and manual weeding Perform a range of landscape maintenance duties including leaf removal, pruning shrubs and trees, fertilizing, lawn care and watering Assist in tree relocation Remove litter and emptying trash cans Clean roads, parking lots and walks to ensure safety of pedestrian and vehicular traffic Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks Remove ice and snow from walks, roads and lots, including the application of ice melter and road sand. Establish new plants and plantings both in landscape and through greenhouse culture Use manual and automatic watering systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings Perform safety checks on equipment and perform preventative equipment maintenance as required Maintain safe work areas during and after work projects Clean spills as needed, including body fluids A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
