Must have recent experience in landscape, irrigation or a similar line of work, as well as experience leading a crew. The Landscape Crew Leader manages, leads, and works alongside landscape crews in all aspects from start to finish on landscape design/build projects for Soho Landscape. The primary focus is to produce and oversee all construction work as planned, while managing materials, customer, and crew, with highly efficient and repeatable systems and best practices. Responsible for overseeing on-site project operations for landscape installation jobs ranging from $500 to $1M+. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, the ability to drive trucks & trailers and be proficient in the operation of landscape equipment including skid steer, toro dingo, tillers, edger equipment, chainsaw, power hedge trimmers & string trimmers. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of a landscape project, including preparation, workmanship, client management and communication, job flow priority and efficiency all will a high level of detail. This position is 100% in the field .

YOU WILL BE PERFORMING ALL LANDSCAPING DUTIES ALONG WITH YOUR CREW.
Job Duties:

Supervises landscape crew members and installers to produce high quality results safely and efficiently. Performs a high standard of work alongside crewmembers while preventing idleness Responsible for team member evaluations of crew under direct supervision, as well as assisting with hiring and termination. Oversees quality control on jobs. Responsible for identifying and fixing problems on jobsites. Meets with clients on site to discuss construction project plan and timeline. Upholds company policies from all perspectives including breaks, lunches, and uniforms. Meets with supervisor to plan and improve the department. Utilizes cloud-based apps for documenting efficiency-based logs related to time tracking. Responsible for the care and maintenance of tools. Trains crew members on irrigation, lighting, drainage, hardscape, artificial turf, grading, plant installation, and carpentry. Makes on-site design adjustments and necessary design changes when appropriate. Conducts daily preparation for needed materials, equipment, crew members and job awareness to produce high quality results safely and efficiently. Maintains inventory, organization and cleanliness of tools, supplies, and equipment within the enclosed trailer. Performs basic routine care and safety checks on vehicles and trailers. Responsible for understanding and using technology software: Jobber, Trainual, Company Cam. Monitoring job sites and photos in Company Cam to identify jobsite and client property areas of concern and communicate for corrective action. Skills & requirements Knowledge of irrigation, lighting, drainage, hardscape, artificial turf, grading, plant installation, carpentry, etc. Excellent time management and supervisory skills. Ability to efficiently complete projects on time and within budget. Must have leadership skills to train, develop, and manage a team to complete work. Must have the ability to install and manage landscape installation from a professionally drafted design. Has a fundamental and workable knowledge of plants specific to the Central Florida climate. Excellent communication skills with the crew, leadership, and with customers. Able to interact professionally and take direction from designers. Awareness of utility markings such as water, gas, and internet as well as protection of irrigation, sewer and low voltage lighting on properties. Proficiency with equipment (skid steer, dingo/toro, tillers, edgers, etc.) Ability to read a landscape design, transpose measurements from design to ground, spacing, and setting, and turning plants properly. Ability to pull and maneuver various sizes of trailers. Ability to maintain crew respect, morale and unity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Soho Landscape. Minimum 2 years of Florida landscape or construction experience (Must provide references). Functionally Bilingual (English/Spanish) Valid & clean Florida Driver’s License. Must have reliable transportation. Must pass a pre-employment Drug Screen and Criminal Background check. Ability to accurately follow oral and written instructions in English.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Performs duties in outdoor settings. Requires frequent bending, twisting, walking, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), for extended periods each day.
