In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscape laborers, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism are maintained at all times. You will need a strong knowledge of South Florida horticulture and a complete understanding of correct installation practices and principles. Your ability to effectively interact with clients and delegate tasks to your team will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities Provide training to landscape laborers, ensuring efficient task performance and adherence to company safety standards. Ensure all team members are equipped with the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and that it is used at all times. Promote professional appearances and comprehensive equipment care at all times. Manage the safe transportation of crew and equipment to landscape maintenance accounts, adhering to all relevant transportation regulations. Evaluate assigned sites for potential hazards or issues prior to maintenance commencement. Manage the loading and unloading of equipment from trailers and trucks. Ensure that vehicles, trailers, and all equipment are clean, properly maintained, and project a professional image. Complete necessary paperwork and account for all materials used on the job site. Ensure that the grounds are clean and free of waste at the completion of each job. Qualifications Strong knowledge of South Florida horticulture. Understanding of correct installation practices and principles. Excellent communication and team management skills. Ability to interact effectively with clients. Experience in a leadership role within a maintenance crew is preferred. English or Spanish language skills Ability to perform physical labor with or without accommodation such as: lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, standing and walking for the duration of a shift, bending, and kneeling.
