Overview:
We are seeking lobby coordinators for our Customer Service department to provide special assistance to elderly passengers and passengers with disabilities and to provide an exceptional customer service experience at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). You will meet passengers when they arrive at the airport to check-in, assisting them into wheelchairs, logging their information, and coordinating with wheelchair agents (PSAs) to have them assisted to their gate in a timely manner. This job requires candidates to be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and walk and stand for long periods of time. Candidates need to be customer service oriented and have great compassion for others. Candidates must also be able to verbally communicate with passengers, including the ability to read and speak English proficiently.
Duties:
- Provide specialized assistance to elderly passengers and passengers with disabilities.
- Meet passengers on arriving and connecting flights, offering wheelchair or walking assistance to baggage claim, ground transportation, or next gate.
- Offer the same assistance to departing passengers.
- Work in a 24/7 operation, being available for shifts throughout the week, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs, walk, stand, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, displaying compassion and empathy towards passengers.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, demonstrating proficiency in reading and speaking English.
