POSITION SUMMARY U.S.

AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. As a Driver Supervisor you will dispatch routes, manage a fleet, and run your own routes. We are looking for a dedicated individual to deliver exceptional customer service while driving a box truck and ensuring safe loading and unloading. This role is vital in supporting our mission of providing quality products to the automotive industry, contributing to our commitment to excellence and reliability. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 5:00 am – 1:30 pm or until job is complete. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs, and may require overtime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements. Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary. Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates Assists with process improvement initiatives. Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards. Ensure excellent customer service and communication Ensure drivers are completing all required daily paperwork: Driver hours log (when needed) Pre-trip inspection sheet Driver’s vehicle inspection report Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report Ensure all paperwork is submitted promptly to corporate office

Dispatch:

Route paperwork/product to appropriate area Ensure drivers are completing customer returns within 3 days of creation Collect COD logs on a daily basis to ensure cash and checks are being collected Communicate to CSR’s, Sales, Customers, Other locations and Drivers effectively

Fleet:

Monitor state and federal DOT regulations Ensure all PM’s are being performed on a regular basis Ensure all repairs are performed in order to stay compliant with federal regulations Assist drivers in making proper arrangements when a break down occurs Coordinate Smith Training for drivers

Driving:

Drive a box truck up to 26,001 pounds Follow and safety procedures per training manual Keep complete and accurate records and logs of all driving and deliveries Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Protective equipment required : steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt , SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots. Work environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

21 years or older (mandatory company policy) 3 years of related experience Skills and experience sufficient to supervise drivers and material handlers Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice Good memory and scanning abilities Good communication and math skills Able to lift up to 80lbs. Ability to follow safe operating procedures Ability to be trained and use forklifts and high reach lifts as needed Requires valid drivers license and good driving record Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain DOT Medical Card per
