Job Summary:
The Crew Lead will communicate with the homeowner/client, manage the crew, ensure site safety and compliance, install the weatherization measures included on a work order and complete paperwork accurately and efficiently. The Crew Lead will perform blower door testing, combustion safety testing and additional testing and diagnostics as required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3-year experience as a MassSave weatherization installer. Minimum 1-year experience as a Weatherization Crew Lead. Light carpentry skills as required for weatherization work scopes. Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License. Must pass Criminal Background check, Driving check and Drug screen. MassSave Crew Lead Certification including Combustion Safety Testing. Lead Safe Renovator Supervisor certificate.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Properly manage and complete each project to MassSave and company standards. Be at all assigned job sites throughout the duration of the job. Perform test-in and test-out Combustion Safety Testing. Perform test-in and test-out blower door testing. Perform all necessary weatherization installation measures including but not limited to air sealing, dense packed cellulose, fiberglass batting, rigid insulation board, roof and wall vents, sealing ductwork, venting bath fans to exterior, removing and replacing siding. Supervise and guide a weatherization installation crew. Ensure Lead Safe practices are followed. Follow all safety procedures for self and crew. Complete all associated job paperwork promptly, completely, and accurately using company systems. Drive company box truck to job sites. Ensure truck is prepped with necessary materials and supplies each day. Communicate with MassSave and WAP inspectors to coordinate site inspections and clarify installation measures. Perform other duties as requested and required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of weatherization installation methods and techniques including light carpentry with the ability to train others. Satisfactory interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate in English. Other languages valued. Ability to use good judgment, work independently and as a team. Follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
The ability to: Stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and work from ladders Reach above head, look and work from under floor level. Use power tools including drills and saws. Stretch both arms out from body. Work in all temperatures and all seasons. Push and pull up to 50lbs. without any assistance. Drive box truck. Crawl in attics, crawl spaces and climb to check roofs. Load and unload trucks. Perform work including but not limited to installing insulation in attics, basements, crawlspaces, walls, vents, window and doors.
