Crew Leader in Training-Landscape Enhancement Bland Landscaping Company – 3.4 Durham, NC Job Details Full-time $16 – $21 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Driver’s License Irrigation Pesticide Applicator’s License Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader in Training is a hands-on position that assists the Crew Leader while learning the details of managing the day-to-day operations of all contracted work to be performed on an assigned job site. Areas of supervision include landscape installation, irrigation system installation, management of subcontractors, and certain planning, administrative, and regulatory functions. The site supervisor will read job plans and specifications and install jobs consistent with those specifications and Bland Landscaping Company criteria. Responsibilities to Assist and Learn from Crew Leader Supervise and train installation crews on all installation services, including promoting safety. Execute the contracted scope of installation projects. Read and execute job plans per specification for the contracted scope. Install plantings, lawns, irrigation, and hardscapes. Digging, tilling, planting, raking, watering, and clean-up of landscapes Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks. Bagged and Bulk Material handling Schedule and monitor daily work assignments. Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day. Perform and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings. Submit daily BOSS Mobile Timesheet Administrative Paperwork Truck and Trailer standardization and cleanliness Use of technology for communication Communicate daily with Production Manager on progress and planning. Daily start up and shut down procedures. Job Quality Hours management Safe driving of company-owned vehicles (with or without trailers) Ability to adjust irrigation controllers and basic knowledge of irrigation components. Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors Safe operation and maintenance of equipment Pay/Benefits Package $16 – $21 hourly rate Affordable Health Insurance w/ Vision & Dental Option Paid Time Off annually + 11 Observed Holidays 401K.
