Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on leader to join our team as a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader . This role requires strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills to guide and develop crew members while ensuring the highest quality landscape maintenance services. You will be responsible for maintaining company assets, fostering a positive work environment, and driving efficiency and productivity in daily operations. Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the lawn and landscape maintenance or landscape installation industry. Valid NC Driver’s License with a clean driving record including reliable transportation. Must have clean driving record and be eligible to be covered under company auto policy. Ability to pass a background check as part of the hiring process. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Punctual, dependable, and committed to work with limited absences. Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example—manage and guide crew members to ensure teamwork, efficiency, and high-quality service execution. Oversee and maintain company assets, including trucks, trailers, and equipment, ensuring daily safety checks, proper use, and cleanliness. Monitor crew performance, providing hands-on training and mentorship to enhance skills and productivity. Maintain quality control and profitability by effectively managing time, resources, and route schedules. Promote a team-oriented work culture, encouraging accountability, respect, and collaboration among crew members. Actively engage with clients and uphold high service standards to ensure customer satisfaction. Demonstrate a growth mindset, showing initiative to take on responsibilities and advance within the company.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in the safe operation of landscape maintenance equipment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide effective solutions in real-time. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Capable of working 8-10 hour shifts and occasional Saturdays due to weather-related delays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to identify and address common landscape challenges, including irrigation issues, pest control, and plant diseases.
