Sections within the Division include curbside management, traffic signals, signs and markings, and system operations. As the Crew Lead with Signs and Markings, some of the duties are: Operate all equipment associated with installation and removal of pavement markings Ensure proper calibration and operation of equipment such as Roto-mill, Strip Hog, Walk-behind Paint Machine Lead cross training of crew members in all aspects of pavement marking and signing operations, bike installations, bike corrals, bollards, vertical elements, U-racks, during off season – signage, and training of residential snowplow and may perform some heavy snowplow operation Implement safety standards, ensure compliance, and prepare work records, reports, assists Operations Supervisor with scheduling Responsible for asset management and communications through programs such as Cartegraph and MS Office Mentor and teach crew staff with process and procedures, broadens their skills and knowledge, and supports staff with development Team lead in understanding and practice of

standards with signs and markings Oversee work in the field and supports the Operations Supervisor with providing feedback about crew performance and assists with conflict management, resolves issues that arise in day-to-day field activity. Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: At least five years of experience in the installation and maintenance of roadway sign and marking infrastructure Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL B) IMSA Signs and Markings Level 2 Certification at time of application Demonstrated knowledge of pavement marking installation and maintenance equipment, as well as installation tools such as the IR Burner and torches Required Minimum Qualifications Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement:
Three (3) years of experience as a member of a crew performing a wide variety of construction, maintenance, and repair work.
Education/Experience Equivalency:
A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
License/Certifications:
Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application. Requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL “B”) with appropriate endorsements at the time of application. Must obtain the IMSA Pavement Markings Technician Level II Certification or equivalent within 1 year of hire or promotion. Must obtain the IMSA Signs Technician Level II Certification or equivalent within 1 year of hire or promotion. Must obtain the IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level II Certification or equivalent at the time of application. Must obtain the IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level III Certification or equivalent within 1 year of hire or promotion. Requires a State of Colorado Flagging and Barricade Certificate. Completion of the Office of Human Resources’ supervisory training courses prior to the end of the probationary period. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
