Work Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented General Manager to oversee the logistics and transportation of cryogenic liquid products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management, DOT regulations, and specialized knowledge of cryogenic liquid handling, safety protocols, and equipment. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of cryogenic liquid to our customers. This position will ensure adherence to all quality assurance programs, develop leadership skills in self and direct report team, while creating a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day transportation operations, including driver management, route optimization, and equipment scheduling.
• Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies regarding the transportation and handling of cryogenic gases.
• Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to train drivers and staff on cryogenic-specific hazards and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor fleet performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules for cryogenic trailers and tankers as well as power units.
• Optimize logistics planning to reduce transportation costs while maintaining safety and delivery standards.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and accident/injury investigations related to cryogenic transport.
• Coordinate with internal departments including production, maintenance, and customer service to ensure timely deliveries and effective communication.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, training certifications, and vehicle maintenance.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to cryogenic transport and regulatory changes.
• The general manager will also oversee the mechanic shop and one full time mechanic as well as one full time Admin.
• Execute administrative duties, including but not limited to payroll, reporting.
• Be responsible for monthly P&L, coordinate changes to meet monthly/yearly financial target for location, as well as input of yearly budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of transportation management experience, with at least 3 years in cryogenic gas or hazardous materials logistics.
• Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and HAZMAT regulations.
• Experience with cryogenic tankers, trailers, or cylinder delivery operations.
• In-depth knowledge of handling hazardous materials in bulk.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and develop associates into an effective, highly motivated results-oriented team.
• Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate multiple solutions to make sound decisions.
• Effective interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Transportation Management Software (Alto experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated knowledge of

FMCSR/DOT

regulations and OSHA rules.

• Previous Union experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience coaching and leading drivers is required and having a CDL Class A with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Primarily office-based with regular time spent in yard and loading areas, will also need to conduct driver observations in the field.
• Quarterly travel to customer location for review as needed.
