As we continue to grow, we are expanding our team and looking for a skilled Landscape Installation Crew Leader to join us. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our company and contributing to the success of our landscaping projects.

Position Overview:

As the Landscape Installation Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscapers in the installation of various hardscaping and softscaping elements, including plants, trees, turf, retaining walls, patios, and more. You will oversee day-to-day operations of the crew, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This is a leadership position that requires both technical expertise and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers in the installation of landscape features, including plantings, hardscaping, irrigation, and turf installation.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all installations.
• Follow project plans and specifications to meet client needs and expectations.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand their vision and keep them informed of progress.
• Manage crew productivity and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Train, motivate, and mentor crew members to improve skills and job performance.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise on-site.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or company owner.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape installation, with a proven track record of leadership in a crew setting.
• Strong knowledge of landscape installation techniques, including plant and tree installation, hardscaping, irrigation, and turf care.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team to complete tasks efficiently and to high standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• References required from previous employers or landscape projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specialized equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, or trenchers.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and installation.
• Landscape certifications or relevant training are a plus.
