Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Vance, AL 35490 Logistics Supervisor to join our team located near Tuscaloosa, AL. This position will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and evaluating all logistic activities from shipping and receiving, to stockroom inventory, material turnover and material handling. As the Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Supervise and facilitate the day-to-day shift activities of team.
• Utilize knowledge and experience, providing training to team members. Responsible for their individual performance.
• Oversee scheduling, and material handling issues, as well as resolving logistics problems.
• Analyze trends and data to set standards and expectations on inventory turns, maximum and minimum inventory levels, dock to stock time, inventory accuracy, etc.
• Develop reports to monitor productivity and areas of opportunity within the Logistics Department
• Write processes and procedures to support the expectations and implement best practices
• Oversee the team’s activities (Kanban replenishment, material handling, shipping receiving, etc.)
• Investigate and resolve logistics issues along with implementing corrective actions.
• Cross train employees within the department (Shipping/Receiving/Inventory) by rotating assignmentsYou are the ideal candidate if you have the following qualifications:
• 4+ Years in of experience in a Supervisor role within manufacturing or distribution.
• High School Diploma, required.
• SAP experience
• Experience with a warehouse management system and EDI;
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of freight business (truckloads, LTL, air freight) a plus
