$35.4K – $44.8K a year 9 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Bilingual Spanish English GMP Mid-level High school diploma or GED 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description Position Summary The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overall performance of assigned employees by providing effective direction, follow-up, training and supervision. Responsible for managing warehouse operations consistent with company goals of satisfying customer requirements within government regulations. Responsible for meeting goals in the areas of safety, quality, service, productivity/cost, and morale. Essential Job Functions Unloads inbound raw materials and places items into inventory assuring that all materials are of good and sanitary condition, dated with the date received, segregated and labeled for allergen as appropriate, and stored so that proper First In First Out (FIFO) rotation is maintained. Assures raw materials returned from production are stored in a clean and hygienic manner. Loads outbound finished goods in a timely manner assuring that outbound trucks are clean, sanitary and in good working order, all products are in good and sanitary condition, and that the trace recall ticket program integrity is maintained. Performs forklift operator safety checks and shift pre-op on a daily basis and assures all motorized equipment is operated in a safe manner. Notifies supervisor of deviations and items needing attention. Cleans areas assigned as designated to assure work area is sanitary. Supplies the production line with raw materials as needed, removes finished goods from the production line and stretch-wraps product to assure unit integrity when stored. Maintains radar frequency gun locator system and production trace/recall log as required for all finished goods as they are received, stored and shipped. Loads feed waste trailers, cardboard compactor, and trash compactor as needed. Moves equipment throughout the facility and onto trailers assuring it is transferred in a safe and secure manner. Performs periodic physical counts of both finished goods and raw materials. Assists in training employees in the proper use of equipment, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and facility safety rules.
Education/Training Required:
Ability to read, write legibly and perform simple mathematical functions
Preferred:
High School diploma or
GED Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
1+ years food experience in a production environment Demonstrated excellent communication, teamwork & partnership skills Ability to plan and organize work areas and product flow Ability to lead and direct people in a positive, results focused manner Ability to use a radar frequency gun to perform basic warehouse/shipping related functions Demonstrated excellent communication, teamwork & partnership skills Maintain a current forklift certification
Preferred:
Bi-lingual English / Spanish ability Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Slip resistant footwear Apron or smock or uniform or insulated overalls Company supplied gloves Hairnet/beard net Ear, eye, and head protection gear
