Monday-Thursday, with occasional Fridays (40+ hours/week)
Salary:
$85,000-$95,000 annually
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead and manage all aspects of warehouse operations at our Durham, CT facility. This position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and supporting our goal of 99% on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong logistics experience,anizational skills, and a team-first mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Planning & Performance
Develop and implement strategies to ensure 99% on-time delivery.
Collaborate with planning, production, and cross-functional teams to align shipping operations with business goals.
Proactively address shipping delays and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and motivate a warehouse team with an emphasis on productivity, cross-training, and collaboration.
Conduct regular audits, review outbound orders, and oversee daily workflow.
Complete annual performance evaluations and ensurepliance with CTPAT standards.
Inventory Management
Oversee receiving, storage, andanization of materials.
Conduct regular cycle counts, reduce inventory errors, and maintain accurate records.
Process Optimization
Improve warehouse layout and inventory location systems.
Streamline processes to reduce lead times and improve efficiency.
Quality & Safety
Enforce quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and high standards for outgoing shipments.
Partner with carrier reps to resolve shipping issues.
Ensure safetypliance through inspections, training, and emergency drills.
ing & Communication
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including bills of lading and shipment notifications.
Generate reports on delivery metrics, inventory status, and team performance.
Participate in regular team meetings (L10) and maintain strongmunication across departments.
Qualifications:
College degree required
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
Certifications such as CLTD, CWLP, or CSCP strongly preferred
Stronganizational,munication, and leadership skills
Commitment to continuous improvement, team development, and workplace safety
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and embracing change

Pay Details:
$40.00 to $50.00 per hour
