Dockmaster Bradford Marine – 4.1 Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time $68,000 – $75,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications 5 years Mid-level High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree Associate’s degree Leadership Communication skills Full Job Description The Dockmaster are to oversee the daily operations of the marina, which includes providing the highest level of dock operations as customers enter and exit the marina, logistical coordination of boat moves, as well as the security and maintenance of the docks, marina equipment and supplies, and the utilization of tow vessels. Key Job Responsibilities Administer the daily dock operations of the marina ensuring customers entering and exiting the marina are provided the highest level of customer service while delivering value to the company and ensure the proper use of docks and secures and assists transit marine vessels Working with the Account management and Operations teams to coordinate vessel moves and slip assignments for any incoming vessels. Coordinate any movement of vessels within the facility Assist with the security and maintenance of the marina facilities to include the docks and marina equipment ensuring overall cleanliness and maintenance Makes minor repairs to equipment and docks and coordinates with appropriate vendors for repairs and maintenance Plan and coordinate marina related projects, coordinating with internal labor and external contractors through completion Tow vessels and barges, internally and on the New River Coordinate scheduling and billing for outside towing resources. (Boats and Operators) Oversees preventative maintenance and prepares and keeps required logs and reports for Company owned vessels Oversees the safety and compliance of Company owned vessels including all installed equipment, documentation and inspections thereof Monitor onboard usage to ensure supplies are utilized in an efficient manner Comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws/regulations for navigation, boat handling and environmental Interacts with the public and others outside the work unit to obtain and provide information and assistance in a variety of circumstances, including responses to inquiries and complaints Partners with EHS and project management to ensure environmental, health and safety standards are adhered to by employees, vendors and customers Partners with and assist the Facility Manager to ensure internal projects are prioritized and completed in a timely fashion. Assisting with labor using Dockmaster department Enforces standard operating processes and procedures for the marina, including rules and regulations for employees, vendors and customers Assists with maintaining and updating revenues and expenses records for the marina’s administrative operations including budgeting Following company, industry and best practices regarding safety standards (safe equipment usage, personal protective equipment, reporting) Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
