This individual will plan, direct, and coordinate order management and the distribution of products and materials, manage designated functional areas, and perform manager-level duties as assigned. The role will also monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain and improve service quality and ensure the consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and associate administration within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with operating procedures for the picking, staging, and shipping of products and materials. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for all associates by managing safety programs and ensuring policy adherence for workers’ compensation and general liability issues. Review work orders, consumption reports, and forecasts to allocate labor and resources effectively, especially during peak delivery periods. Supervise daily activities of associates involved in picking, staging, and shipping processes. Train, coach, and develop warehouse staff to meet departmental goals and support performance improvement. Monitor and manage functional area performance to ensure achievement of operational targets. Prepare or oversee the preparation of operational reports, safety manuals, and other required documentation. Manage opening and closing procedures for the facility, authorize customer refunds, and resolve escalated service issues. Oversee administrative teams handling customer requests and internal documentation. Partner with the People Team to support recruiting, onboarding, and associate administration activities. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Lead by example in meeting productivity and quality standards across warehouse functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth warehouse operations. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Education and Experience Required:
High School degree or equivalent experience required Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field preferred 2+ years’ experience in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control. 2+ years’ supervisory experience within a distribution center, high-volume retailer, or production environment. Prior demonstrated experience managing a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced production, distribution, retail or similar environment Experience with coaching and managing employees.
