FLEET PROCESS COORDINATOR
Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Pay Rate:
$20.91/HR-$27.39/
HR General Description:
This regular, full-time position works the day shift, Monday through Friday, with on-call status for exigent circumstances, providing administrative support for the Fleet Maintenance Division. The role occasionally involves working around or being exposed to outdoor conditions, fumes, vibrations, moderate noise levels, and moving mechanical parts. This job requires working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a heavy workload. Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage complex scheduling and account management tasks. Attention to detail and the ability to quickly remember and process large amounts of information are essential. Effective time management and multitasking abilities are crucial to handle the diverse responsibilities of this position.
Essential Functions:
Manages the procurement process within fleet maintenance Maintains a database of agency vehicles and other logistical information Performs routine data entry into fleet software programs Orders parts and tracks inventory Ensures timely processing and dissemination of information and paperwork Processes required documentation for vehicle issuance and returns Schedules maintenance and repair work for agency vehicles Tracks and transports vehicles Provides customer service Processes billing data All Citrus County Sheriff’s Office employees are considered ‘essential workers’ and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments
Skills and Abilities:
Accurate entry and retrieval of information from various computer systems and programs Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness, and compile data and information for reports Ability to maintain accurate records, logs, and other time-sensitive documentation Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling Ability to prioritize and proofread own work Knowledge of general office equipment including computers, printers, scanners, and common software applications
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Knowledge of the automotive industry or fleet management experience preferred but not required Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other software used in modern accounting practices
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and work in outdoor environments for extended periods
Requirements:
Valid Florida driver’s license Legal right to work in the United States Please refer to General Order 212.51 and General Order 212.53 for other information/requirements. An oral board with job related questions and/or scenarios will be administered on a date specifically set with all potential candidates notified at least three days in advance of the specified date. The oral board passing score will be 80% or higher. All employees/members will compete against one another for one position and the final selection to fill this slot will be made by the Sheriff. The Sheriff reserves the right to make selections from internal or external sources.
