Warehouse Supervisor 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Quincy, FL 32351 Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee their warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, training, and supervising a team of warehouse associates, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Day-to-Day:
Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide ongoing feedback to team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance or behavior concerns. Maintain accurate inventory records using an inventory management system. Oversee the receiving, shipping, storing, and retrieval of pet products and supplies. Organize the layout of the warehouse to maximize space utilization and optimize workflow. Ensure compliance with storage guidelines to prevent damage or spoilage of products. Train staff on proper handling of products, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Coordinate with the maintenance specialist the repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory levels, and any incidents. Implement best practices to streamline warehouse operations and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus. 3 years of proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the pet/food industry or a similar field. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Proficiency in inventory management and other relevant tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within a warehouse environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and other departments. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
Pay Rate:
$52k /per yr
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (some days overtime will be required)
