What You’ll Do:
As a Warehouse Coordinator, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and timely distribution of materials and products. This role involves coordinating with production teams, managing inventory levels, handling shipments, and ensuring that warehouse operations meet safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee inventory control by tracking stock levels, conducting regular stock audits, and ensuring proper rotation of materials in line with FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out) practices. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments and raw material usage. Coordinate with purchasing and production departments to ensure material availability and prevent shortages. Ensure materials are correctly stored, labeled, and organized for easy access. Monitor and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in compliance with safety and quality standards. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products. Verify orders and shipments for accuracy, ensuring correct items and quantities are received or dispatched. Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels. Communicate with production, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations and timely supply of materials. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, or production delays. Report on warehouse metrics such as inventory levels, stock turnover, and order accuracy. Operate forklifts and yard trucks; assist loading and unloading shipments. Active participation and support of the plant safety program is required. Perform any other duties assigned and cross train in other areas as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment. Must have valid driver’s license and have acceptable MVR. Must pass Basic Skills Assessments. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions precisely. Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred. Proficient in inventory control methods and warehouse management. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, yard trucks) safely. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills for coordinating with production teams, vendors, carriers, and supervisors. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), inventory software, and barcode scanning systems. Knowledge of safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and compliance in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, shipping labels, and bills of lading.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing and walking throughout the warehouse and production areas (up to 8-12 hours per shift). Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance). Repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching to access inventory on shelves or during shipping/receiving tasks. Manual dexterity to operate scanners, computers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Occasional climbing on ladders or step stools to reach high storage areas. Visual acuity and color perception to read labels, paperwork, and operate equipment safely. Hearing ability to respond to alarms, equipment sounds, and communication from team members. Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including non-climate-controlled warehouse areas or outdoor loading docks. Extended periods of time spent working at a computer or handling paperwork for inventory management and shipping documentation. Why Florida’s Natural?
