We’relooking for an experienced Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join ourteam! Shift start time 5AM, 1st shift The Warehouse ShiftSupervisor will supervise warehouse associates to ensure tasks arecompleted on time and in accordance with company policies as wellas state and federal laws. Communicate with customers, supervisors,or other personnel to exchange information or resolve problems.
Responsibilities include: Assign associates to designated areas tomeet inbound productivity demands Supervise associates to ensurecompliance with company policies, state, and federal lawsCollaborate with management to evaluate associate performance andcoordinate training as necessary Oversee warehouse associates toensure inbound process is adhered to and efficient Communicateattendance issues and policy violations with Inbound OperationsManager Facilitate pre-shift safety brief and performancestretching/warm-up exercises Liaison between warehouse associatesand Dock Manager Resolve workplace disputes Work closely withInbound managers to coordinate shipment details Effectivelycommunicate with fellow associates, host management, carriers,vendors and FHI leadership •Please note this is not a travelposition, and you should live local to the site. Qualifications Required:
Must havevalid driver’s license
Education:
We believe that skills andexperience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuableasset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.
Experience:
Experience in managing and leading a team is essential.
Requires a combination of leadership, organization,problem-solving, and technical skills to ensure the smoothfunctioning of the warehouse department. Strong communicationskills are essential for interacting with team members, otherdepartments, and external stakeholders like suppliers andcustomers.
Skills/Knowledge:
Good verbal/written communicationskills. Willingness to work the required schedule. Ability tospeak, read, and write English for effective communication. Basicmath skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers,management, and customers. Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:
This position is designated as safety-sensitiveby the company, and the ability to work in a constant state ofalertness and in a safe manner is required. Warehouse environmentwith extreme heat and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands:
Abilityto lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of theworkday. Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expectto handle between 50 and 200 pallets on any given day. The abilityto hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds(e.g., machinery alarms or alarms) in moderate to loud workenvironments.
