Dock Coordinator Position Available In Chatham, Georgia

Job Description:

As a Dock Coordinator , you will oversee the daily operations of the loading and unloading process at our dock area. You will play a key role in ensuring that shipments are managed efficiently, safely, and within required timeframes. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Communicate with truck drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to facilitate the smooth flow of goods. Ensure accurate documentation for all shipments, including bills of lading, shipment records, and other relevant paperwork. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, and ensure stock is organized and safely stored. Conduct regular safety checks and maintain dock cleanliness. Resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies, working with the appropriate departments to address issues. Track shipments and provide updates to management and customers. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or distribution environment is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems). Forklift certification is a plus but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods. #SAVGA
