The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Dock Coordinator role. Dock coordinators possess a strong working knowledge of daily Distribution operations. The individual in this position will be called upon to lead teams, develop and implement processes and standard work that are consistent with manufacturing excellence. The individual will actively support GME processes and tools that are sustainable and promote a zero-loss culture. This individual must be a self-starter and able to provide training to others. This role will require strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills. The successful person in this role will need to be able to effectively influence his/her peers.

Hourly rate:

$36.61 with a shift differential for overnight hours.

Schedule:

12hr (Rotating Swing) 7am-7pm. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package. In this role, you will: Administrative & Customer Service Ensure the plant’s non-negotiables: safety, housekeeping, quality, and environment are sustained through a rigorous audit process. Motivate the team to complete risk predictions, BBS observations, safety audits, safety training and safety hazard notifications Participate in the Daily Review Meeting process as a back-up or as scheduled. Collects and reports out all data used for daily review meeting/shift exchange Be able to lead and manage the canisters for packaging as well as the canister dock Coordinate inbound loads with customer service representative Maintain yard view transactions Serves as a resource to the floor within distribution Ability to always demonstrate prompt and courteous radio communication. Warehouse Management Manage the dock and coordinate all dock activity Involved in weekly cycle counts Manage warehouse space utilization on a shift and daily basis Manage the distribution space utilization on a shift and daily basis (racks, label room, annex, and all dock areas) Directed Freight Flow – manage directed freight flow from production to the floor and fluid load to outbound/inbound trailers daily Schedules and coordinates all shipping & receiving activity of fork truck operators Serves as a resource to the team for the coordination of daily tasks leading to effective and efficient logistics/freight movement Responsible for the coordination of breaks, lunches, and assessing overall needs of the assigned crew Coordinate packaging material as well as raw materials to and from process or packaging lines as needed to support business Training Coordinate training for distribution personnel on shift Serve as the trainer on any skill in the distribution progression & certification process Inventory Management Makes decisions regarding the placing of products on hold, following other quality expectations, standards & processes Participate in annual inventory Follow plant QN process (be able to create one and follow up with outside warehouses) What we look for: Internal applicants must be below the written reminder step in attendance and/or work performance Knowledge of Distribution operations include inventory and warehouse management, dock and trailer yard coordination, and safety procedures to maintain GME standards Must demonstrate ability to effectively use Clorox systems to perform routine job tasks (Transplace, Vector, SAP transactions, Yard view, etc.) Possess effective communication, interpersonal, and organization skills Be initiative-taking with the ability to work with minimal supervision Possess strong Computer Skills (including SAP) Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, with sense of urgency Strong commitment to plant’s non-negotiables and company’s core values Supports Distribution improvement projects Must have good understanding of GME processes Meets overall selection criteria in the areas of performance, leadership, attendance, job skills, and other criteria specifically established for this position. Must be forklift certified Must be a or able to become a certified inventory counter Be able to perform open door yard checks, and update information appropriately Be able to travel around Atlanta Campus as needed

The dock coordinators are scheduled 12 hours to coincide with the crews (ABCD); flexibility required for off-shifts and weekends. Schedule may change based on business needs.
