About The PositionThe Supervisor, Distribution Design isprimarily responsible for managing and leading Field EngineeringRepresentatives in support of producing high quality electricdistribution, electric sub-transmission, and gas distributiondesigns for crew construction, in accordance with Ameren IllinoisStandards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising andcoordinating the work of Field Engineering Representatives toensure operational efficiency.
- Maintaining adherence to collectivebargaining agreements and fostering positive labor relations.
- Ensuring that all customer-related projects and services areexecuted efficiently, meet quality standards, and align withbusiness strategies.
- Collaborating with engineering and operationsteams to ensure timely and safe execution of all electric and gasprojects for the assigned service territory.
- Communicating withcustomers to provide project updates, resolve issues, and ensuresatisfaction in conjunction with the Field EngineeringRepresentatives.
- Ensure outstanding safety results by activelyserving on Safety Committees, leading weekly Department SafetyMeetings, conducting field inspections of Field EngineeringRepresentatives, managing C2C processes, and ensuring team isutilizing all proper personal protective equipment.
- Review qualityand accuracy of field notes and designs while working withEngineers, Field Engineering Representatives, ConstructionSupervisors, and Field employees to resolve issues identified.
Verify adherence to all Ameren Standards and policies and theAmeren Illinois’ Standards and Qualifications.
- Managing andassigning
RELIP1/P2/P5/P6
Pole work, Underground CableReplacements, Government Relocations, and Maintenance/ReliabilityProjects to Field Engineering Representatives to ensure timelycompletion and adherence to AIC Standards.
- Review the monthlyfocus and customer satisfaction scores for the assigned serviceterritory to develop strategies to enhance customerexperience.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, GIS,Construction Management, Project Management or related technicalfield plus five or more years of relevant experience (e.g.,engineering, design or construction experience on electric or gasdistribution lines, GIS, Computer-Aided Drafting, or distributedgeneration interconnections like solar and wind) required OR anAssociate’s degree in Engineering Technology, GIS, Computer-AidedDrafting, Construction Management, Project Management or relatedtechnical field and seven years of relevant experience required.
Nine years of relevant experience may be considered withoutrequired Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.
In addition to the abovequalifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Abilityto analyze data; proficiency with MS Office applications suite;proficiency with OAS, Maximo, CRTS, and CSS systems; knowledge ofAmeren Gas and Electric standards; understanding of Ameren IllinoisUtilities’ Standards and Qualifications; and the following

Compensation Range:
$86,400.00 – $133,900.00At Ameren,base salary is one component of a competitive compensation packagefor employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movementwithin our organization and to accommodate different skill sets andlevels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety offactors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities,experience, education, credentials, and internal equity whendetermining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible foradditional rewards including annual incentive payments based onindividual and company performance.
