General Data Company is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor position will be responsible for the proper warehousing and inventory control of raw materials and finished goods. This position is located at our Atlanta, GA plant.

Manage shipping, receiving, and material handling functions at the Atlanta facility. Make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements. Comply and enforce all safety and environmental regulations. Interpret and administer company policies and procedures. Provide direction, development and leadership to personnel to achieve company goals. Perform performance reviews for direct reports. Communicate issues to personnel and advise supervisor of workers concerns. Make recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change in status of employees. Build a cross-functional team amongst all disciplines/job responsibilities Assign duties, examine work for accuracy Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures. Identify employee’s skills/strengths and practice coaching/mentoring on regular basis. Oversee and reconcile regular cycle counts. (weekly, monthly, annual). Pick orders accurately and prepare for shipment. Monitor emails and respond to phone calls throughout the day. Prepare outbound LTL shipments. Unload/Load trucks. Ensure that all shipments, receipts and BOL’s are validated. Communicate effectively and timely any discrepancies involving receipts, shipments, and deliveries as well as equipment/service requests. Maintain and support all operational procedures and implement new procedures as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Maintain most efficient method of storing and retrieving inventory. Communicate as necessary with production and customer service to coordinate activities involving shipping and receiving. Ensure shipments are received into inventory accurately and timely. Provide regular reporting to Management on operational issues/concerns/suggestions. Ensure FIFO inventory management is maintained.
