$44.7K – $55K a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Management Inventory control ERP systems Mid-level Supervising experience Warehouse experience Computer skills Leadership Communication skills Full Job Description Warehouse Supervisor COS-Baton Rouge, LA Position Summary Central Oil & Supply is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to lead and oversee the daily operations and overall efficiency of warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, inventory control, safety compliance, and distribution. This role also includes supervision of warehouse staff, maintaining productivity standards, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to ensure a high-performing, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, inventory, and distribution of products Review order tracking reports; collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve issues Train and manage the warehouse team Monitor and coach employee performance; conduct quarterly reviews Maintain warehouse layout, BIN codes, equipment condition, and facility organization Order and manage warehouse supplies and packaging materials Support efforts to reduce excessive and obsolete inventory Uphold and enforce all safety protocols and ensure PPE usage Maintain warehouse metrics and present updates in weekly operations meetings Assist with PTO coverage for direct reports as needed Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) in the operating system Conduct monthly inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies Provide secondary verification for pulled orders on key accounts Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate documentation, records, and reports related to warehouse activities Utilize basic computer skills to operate warehouse systems, communicate internally, and track inventory data Perform additional duties and projects assigned
Requirements:
Ability to work in varying temperature conditions Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift or move items up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills:
Proven leadership and team supervision experience Strong focus on safety management and inventory control Skilled in process development, reporting, and performance analysis Strong judgment, organizational, and communication skills Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management tools
