FOREMAN PRIMARY PURPOSE & FUNCTION

Maintain safe and effective control and coordination of all equipment, materials and personnel between shorebases and job location. Must maintain liaison between customer, shorebase and various vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives and coordinates checking and unloading of all materials inbound and outbound to the Shorebase Validates all materials being received inbound and outbound for accuracy and compliance Coordinates load-out with marine dispatcher and Shorebase crews Confirms that all material is accounted for and yard is in good order prior to shift change Accountable for reporting accurate weights on equipment to the dispatcher Confirms all materials are properly received, marked, inspected and staged according to destination Ensures all incidents/accidents or equipment damages are reported to dispatcher and supervisor immediately Review outstanding inbound manifest first thing each morning to insure everything is in order and dispatchers are aware of any items that have been at Shorebase for an extended amount of time. Review manifest for quantities of product inside of tanks and drums and assures items have proper Hazardous or non-Hazardous Labeling Inform dispatchers to contact platform/rig to find out what is to be done with product. If on hold put item in outbound staging area and make sure its properly marked with location information and disposition Go through all incoming baskets and remove items to be placed onto pallets while getting serial numbers off of items. If basket and equipment belong to same company, leave items in basket, after serial numbers are acquired of off equipment. Observe all loading/offloading operations are being performed in a safe manner ? Use stop work authority when applicable Insure that equipment is marked for the proper location and placed in proper staging area or on correct vessel. Note discrepancies on manifest and notify dispatcher of discrepancies. (Either items missing or not on manifest) Tag all tubulars as they come in from the vendor or the location with a paint stick. Account for all thread protectors. If missing notify the dispatcher immediately. Keep track of all pipe slings and clamps. Notify dispatcher of any damaged slings. Coordinators must direct yard crew to meet the needs of COMPANY in a safe and efficient manner. Insure that yard crew performs assigned tasks that are given by the COMPANY representative. Walk the yard with the manifest and go over everything in staging areas (each shift change) Performs other related duties as required and assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of drilling equipment and drilling operation. Utilization of resources used in logistic operations. Minimum of one year involved with shorebase operations. Must have high level of safety awareness. Must have leadership skills. Basic computer skills are required. Must have ability to plan and coordinate work effectively. Must be willing to work schedules according to job requirements. Must be a team worker and self motivated.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school degree or equivalent is preferred. Additional training may be required in order to meet company or customer standards or expectations.
