Athol Department of Public Works Water Division Job Posting The Athol DPW is currently posting for a Primary Water Distribution Operator / Sewer Collection Operator . This is a 40 hour per week union benefited position. This position reports to the DPW Superintendent. The Town of Athol requires a Massachusetts Distribution 2 and Treatment 2 public water supply license. Massachusetts Cross Connection Control survey and backflow tester are also part of the operator s position responsibilities. Commercial Driving and Hoisting Licenses are required for DPW staff. This position supplements the Treatment staff as needed with aspects of the water treatment system. Athol is a community of 12,000 people with a very progressive DPW water division. The division operates 4 drinking water wells, and (2) small treatment plants.
