Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Coordinator 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Mebane, NC 27302 JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse operations. Warehouse Coordinators use knowledge and expertise to ensure work is performed in an effective, efficient, and safe manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklift and pallet jack in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.
• Operate Yard Tractor to move trailers in and out of dock doors – CDL Class A license not required but is preferred
• Read and interpret daily schedules by identifying raw materials required..
• Unload raw materials, retrieve purchase order numbers, and place materials appropriately in the warehouse.
• Perform transfer pickups by separating raw materials and place materials in appropriate trailers for facilities.
• Verify and order raw materials for facilities by visualizing minimums and maximums.
• Perform international shipping and pulling orders and properly preparing them.
• Dispatches and coordinates inbound/outbound domestic freight.
• Coordinate and balance delivery of imported containers within “free” periods and to prevent backlogs at receiving.
• Perform inventory control by cycle counting and placing orders.
• Creates and files purchase orders, sales orders, packing lists, and other documentation.
• Assists the operations department with fulfillment and quality control
• Works closely with the marketing team, plant managers, and purchasing manager to resolve issues.
• Responsible for maintaining quality service through close attention to detail in accordance with product specifications and delivery requirements.
• Perform duties safely and maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Report any safety hazards, work injuries or building and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a culture that supports teamwork, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

This position performs work with minimal direction and is subject to guidance from the facility managers. Periodic review of work is conducted by the appropriate supervisor, ensuring that work is performed in an effective, efficient, and safe manner as needed to satisfy customers.

EDUCATION, JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires at least two years of related work in manufacturing.
• Must be able to read, comprehend and speak English to be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be able to apply basic computer, reading & math skills.
• Must be able to prioritize and multi-task according to daily schedule.
• Must be able to read and comprehend required documents, such as safety rules, operating procedures, schedules and instructions.
• Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of operation of special equipment such as hand truck and moving equipment, and assorted hand tools.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

(includes physical requirements, work hazards, environmental factors)

• Work requires standing approximately 25% of the time, walking and moving around the facility 75% of the time.
• Job duties require occasionally lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. Must occasionally push and pull up to 100 lbs. When practical, assistance, special lifting and moving equipment should be utilized.
• Job responsibilities require frequent reaching with hands and arms and moving around the production areas. Manual dexterity is needed for handling materials, adjusting controls, and feeling.
• Normal visual, hearing and speaking abilities are required by this job.
• May occasionally be exposed to work hazards, such as humid conditions, fluctuation in temperature, vibrations from equipment, and electrical or mechanical equipment hazards.
• Frequently exposed to moving parts on machinery as well as movement of forklifts and other production equipment.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes, odors, dust, mist and poor ventilation.
• Must follow safety precautions and use personal protective equipment when needed, such as close toe shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.
