About This Opportunity Brunswick County is currently accepting applications for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our Public Utilities Department. TheWarehouse Coordinator will perform a variety of work to support the daily operations of the Utilities Warehouse and Laydown Yards.

Responsibilities include:

Helping to ensure adequate stock levels through tracking and maintaining inventory. Conducting and coordinating cycle counts. Receiving deliveries. Stocking shelves. Operating material handling equipment, including hand trucks, forklifts, etc. Performing building and lawn maintenance. Assisting with accounting functions. Completing purchase requisitions. Following established health and safety procedures and regulations. Work will require the Warehouse Associate to communicate effectively with other County departments, shippers, vendors, manufacturers, and other material providers. under County policy and may require the employee to work extended periods of time during emergencies. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED and five (5) years warehouse and/or store management experience to include inventory oversight; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required combination of skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Valid NC or SC drivers’ license is required. Possession of a North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within probationary period required. Forklift Certified or ability to obtain within the probationary period required. Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Software (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP). Finance and/or accounting experience a plus. Physical Requirements Must be physically able to operate vehicles including material handling equipment. Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force and/or up to 50 pounds of force more frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move materials and product repetitively. Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift. Physical demand requirements are for Heavy Work. Must be physically able to make repetitive motions and lift overhead frequently. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
