Position Summary:

Joyce Farms is seeking a proactive and highly organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and execute day-to-day operations across our cooler, freezer, and dry storage facilities. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our premium food products by ensuring optimal storage conditions, accurate inventory control, and efficient team coordination. The ideal candidate will have extensive warehouse and inventory management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in cold environments for extended periods. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage warehouse team members, enforce FIFO procedures, and operate material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:



Inventory Management & Organization:

o Maintain accurate inventory across cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas o Monitor and reconcile inventory discrepancies; implement root cause analysis and preventative actions. o Ensure all products are stored according to Joyce Farms’ standards o Oversee and enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory rotation practices o Perform regular cycle counts and coordinate full physical inventories o Implement organization systems to optimize space and streamline access 

Team Leadership & Operations:

o Supervise a team of up to 10 warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance reviews o Train and motivate team members to follow standard operating procedures and maintain high performance standards o Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork o Ensure timely and accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of goods o Communicate effectively with internal departments to support production and distribution needs o Collaborate with sales, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure inventory availability and accuracy. o Review, manage and approve personnel hours 

Equipment & Facility:

o Safely operate and train team members on forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks and other material handling equipment o Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to safety standards o Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas

Requirements:

 3+ years of warehouse management experience  Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.  Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and FIFO procedures  Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks and general warehouse equipment  Ability to work in various cold environments ranging from -5°F to 38°F for extended periods  Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.  Familiarity with ERP and/or inventory management software,

Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience in food manufacturing or distribution, cold storage a plus.  Familiarity with GS1 standards and traceability practices preferred.

Working Conditions:

 Frequent exposure to cold and frozen environments  Full-time role with occasional weekend or evening hours during peak periods
