THE OPPORTUNITY
This is the final stepbefore taking over your own site. You will learn to representCapstone with our Partners, manage day-to-day activities withassociates, all the while ensuring that safety and productivity arealways the focus. At this stage, you may be asked to run portionsof the business or perhaps an entire shift. The Site Supervisorwill train new hires and provide an environment that is teamcentric. This is a training opportunity to hone the skillsnecessary to run your own site. With the growth that Capstone hasexperienced over the past years, it could be sooner than you think!
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiation of rates with common carrierrepresentatives Running site with safety and efficiency aspriorities Writing and balancing daily bank deposits Creation ofdaily work logs and transmission of same to corporate Audit ofdaily labor and billing reports Ensure customer needs are met on adaily basis. Document and resolve any customer service or associateissues daily. Ensure all associates follow Capstone policies andwork rules including Capstone safety work rules. Hold weekly safetymeetings and ensure associate participation. Assist in managingSite and Departmental budget. Scheduling associate shifts based oncustomer requirements. Interview, hire, and train new associates.
Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all servicesperformed. Complete daily closeout, including cash balancing, dataupload, and payroll record administration according to Capstonepolicies and standard operating procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 yearsof supervisory / leadership experience in an industrial setting.
Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service tointernal and external customers. Ability to train, coach, andmentor warehouse associates. Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills (written and verbal) Strong organization andprioritizing skills. Ability to simultaneously perform multipletasks. Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in afast-paced environment. Ability to manage budgets; read andinterpret P&L statements; and prepare related managementreports. Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word,Outlook, and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand fora long period of time. Ability to safely operate material handlingequipment as needed. Ability to work in a warehouse environment onconcrete flooring and in varying temperatures. Ability to lift upto 75 lbs. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Warehousing, Logistics,Supply Chain or Third-Party experience preferred. BS/BA Degree orAssociate Degree with Equivalent Experience is a plus but notrequired Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, andcustomer service skills. The ability to make decisions, problemsolve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in anever-changing, warehouse environment. Proven track record insupervision of warehouse employees including Hiring, Training, andTermination. Experience with managing budgets and ability to create& maintain various management reports. Intermediate computerexperience, ideally with Microsoft products. Excellent aptitude inestimating rates and adding and subtracting mentally whileconstantly multi-tasking.
