GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
Coordinates the supply and management of materials in the warehouse, to ensure the timely provision of inputs required in different areas.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Perform inspections (reception, safety and storage, stock inventory, etc) of product stock to determine the current degree of serviceability, rate of deterioration and recommends condition changes, in order to ensure a safe and compatible storage environment. Communicate inspection status to warehouse personnel. Coordinate the location of product that hasn’t been inspected yet, in order to assure a proper location and distribution of product and guarantee the inspection of the pending stock. Assure that product designated for fumigation is unstuffed in a timely matter and coordinate with USDA inspector for seal checks, etc. Coordinate the distribution and delivery of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules, in order to deliver in a timely manner all products required to appropriate individuals or areas. Coordinate shipping activities with external parties, checking shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications. Compile and prepare information related to production progress and rates, materials, inventory levels, transportation, materials used, customer information, personnel schedules, purchases, maintenance, or repair orders, in order to comply with the requested status reports. Check data for recording errors. ( Confirming sales orders and inventory matches Dole systems ( Tranship) . Monitor yard labor assigned to yard cleaning. (This now falls under Enstrcture SQF) Calculate costs of goods or services, such as required amounts of labor or materials, manufacturing costs. (Warehouse office supplies, ) Discuss account status or activity with customers or patrons. (Ability to trouble shoot multiple issues with customer orders/patrons, Customers Holds status, product availability )
