04/03/2023 Position Purpose and Objectives This is a mid-level warehouse position responsible for leading efficient day-to-day operations of the distribution center’s Fulfillment Team under the guidance of the department manager to meet and exceed customer expectations; leads the team by example and facilitates daily work assignments; monitors and measures team performance to achieve group and individual performance target levels. Essential Job Functions Must follow GMP and relevant SOPs that apply to the position. Be able to operate and train others to use warehouse equipment safely. Mentors, trains, and coaches warehouse employees in warehouse operations Ensure the facility operates and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Supervises and assists in warehouse cleaning, physical inventories, and cycle counts. Supervises and assists in general warehouse duties as required. Provides recommendations to the manager on operational improvements. Responsible for the day-to-day completion of work distributed of the team to accomplish daily work objectives. Assists in performing risk assessments for hazard evaluations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Ensures full-time and temporary team members receive work, pick and stage in proper areas, complete required paperwork, and report missing or incorrect materials found in locations. Ensures accurate completion of putaway tasks and pick bin replenishments to restock bins and ensures appropriate labels are applied to bins. Ensures accurate picking and optimal packing to meet shipping deadlines and control costs. Supervises the flow of end of day reports with pick tickets are turned in to the appropriate location for scanning and filing. Responsible for the warehouse personnel’s welfare, safety, and productivity Responsible for everything the DC associate team does or fails to do. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Pick & Pack operations Processing UPS & FedEx packages Warehouse management systems Cycle counts and inventory reconciliations Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse industrial-powered vehicles and material handling equipment Read and utilize handheld devices and pick sheets written in English. Basic math skills Proven warehouse experience Communication skills to train other employees on warehouse operations Supervisory Responsibility Training of employees and completing training documentation forms Distributing daily work assignments Enforcing and communicating standards and policies set by management with assigned team members Responsible for the performance and safety of warehouse associates Facilitating and encouraging an inclusive employee work environment free from favoritism, bullying, and harassment to create an environment of mutual respect Working Conditions Fast-paced environment Strong interaction with team members, and representatives from other departments Ability to work from heights Minimum Qualifications Must be forklift certified Must be able to work with minimum supervision Must be able to lift heavy objects (40 lb. average) Must certify as an equipment trainer within a reasonable amount of time and maintain certification Success Factors Work in a safe and efficient manner Team Player, self-motivated, well organized Willing to learn and apply new skills Attention to detail Sharing knowledge with entry-level employees on processes, procedures, and safety Leads by example Accepts responsibility for everything the team does or fails to do Successfully integrates temporary employees into the warehouse team Experience Preferred 2 – 5 years: Fulfillment and warehouse exp Education Preferred Associates or better
