Warehouse Lead Job Description Join our team as a working warehouse Lead for the 2nd shift, working from Monday to Friday. Lead would be responsible for small team of warehouse associates on 2nd shift. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift for 4 to 6 weeks. This role requires cross-training in multiple warehouse functions, including operating multiple types of Forklift. You will engage in hand-picking, packing, processing, and unloading trailers manually, with the potential to operate various equipment including Order Pickers, Swing Reach Trucks, Sit Down Forklifts, and Manual Pallet Jacks. Responsibilities In addition to warehouse associate responsibilities Pull orders using an order picker and load/unload trucks. Maintain inventory control and pack orders for small parcel shipments. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately. Follow inspection processes to ensure product quality. Record parcel deliveries and distribute to the appropriate person or department. Assist with receiving responsibilities and supply raw materials to departments. Perform general housekeeping practices throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. Maintain the physical condition of all equipment. Collaborate with other operators in a team environment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Work overtime as needed, including weekends, and perform other duties as assigned by management. Operate in an indoor workspace, occasionally exposed to extreme heat or outdoor conditions when entering trailers. Essential Skills Leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes. Strong decision-making capabilities. Knowledge of bills of lading. Experience with material handling equipment Warehouse leadership experience (2+ years). Order selection and packaging expertise. Inventory control and shipping label management. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work orders. Proficiency in English for speaking, reading, and writing. Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and other physical movements. Why Work Here? Employees can expect pay increases upon direct hire and certification, with potential earnings of $20 to $22 per hour Benefits become available within 30 days of full-time employment, including annual work boot reimbursement and three weeks of vacation after direct hire. Work Environment The facility is not climate-controlled, typical of a warehouse setting where temperatures may vary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
