Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Do not report employees who perform one of these duties as their primary function.

Materials Handler, Distribution Center Generalist.
Role and Responsibilities
Maintain total functionality of the group. Ensure that all orders are processed and shipped for 100% on time delivery. Ensure that all receipts are verified and entered to minimize inventory and accounting errors
Delegate the responsibility of each customer to the shipping individuals
Double-check a percentage of the paperwork for accuracy
Run reports as needed to verify that we catch even the drop-ins
Help pull parts for shipment as needed, load and unload as needed
Ensure warehouse, shipping, receiving, and outside storage areas a kept clean and free of debris
Incoming and Outgoing product is processed and dispositioned to the proper location in a timely manner.
Notify upper management in advance of any issues that would result in a late shipment
Make sure all parts and materials are staged according to the plant layout
Perform inventory control functions within the warehouse
Safely use forklifts and other equipment needed for job task.
Observe all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Leadership responsibilities
Oversees activities of warehouse associates
Demonstrates and cultivates teamwork within the warehouse department
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Experience in warehouse preferred
Experience using a forklift preferred
Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold position
All required WilbertU Courses based on job title
Preferred Skills
Above average math skills
Average proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, database
Attention to detail and organization
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work well with others with minimal supervision
Ability to successful maneuver and operate a forklift truck
