JOB SUMMARY :
The Warehouse Coordinator, under the direction of the Materials Manager performs the daily activities of leading, overseeing and assisting in activities of Supply Department personnel to ensure optimal level of departmental client service and communication efforts. Responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, filling and sending supplies ordered by clients, phlebotomists and within the laboratory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Assist the Materials Manager in the overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Supply Department. Serve as project leader in the development and implementation of training, QA programs and department protocols. Assist in shipping, receiving, and inventory control of all client/phlebotomy supplies, lab office supplies, and equipment. Maintain the perpetual inventory and subsequent delivery of supplies to all locations. Fill all orders on a daily basis for clients, phlebotomists and internal departments that come in via fax, email, and interdepartmental mail. Problem solve via phone/email by contacting clients/phlebotomists and internal departments. Verify with manager outstanding supplies ordered by clients/phlebotomists and internal departments. Keep clients/phlebotomists and internal clients informed of backordered supplies. Assist in the processing of all receiving reports on all shipments received through the warehouse. Maintain records of supplies and materials entering and leaving the warehouse. Receive and stock supplies from all vendors according to departmental protocol. Label all containers with the date of receipt. Check invoice/packing slips noting the number ordered and received are same, notes back ordered items, and gives invoices to appropriate personnel to be processed. Physically shelves and rotates stock per department procedure as directed by Dept Supervisor/Manager. Maintain the inventory of supplies and coordinates the replacement and ordering of supplies including general lab items from approved vendors on a daily basis. Approve emergency deliveries as needed. Ensure that supplies with the earliest expiration date are used first. Ensure accuracy of completed client and internal request forms. Assist the Supply Supervisor in directing the inventory and stock control programs for all supplies. Complete low stock/discrepancy report forms. Serve as lead for employees assigned to the warehouse and submits recommendations for personnel evaluations. Assist with the organization and safety of the warehouse including biohazard waste disposal and efficient supply packaging including maintenance of a cleaning/organization schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry’s best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data. Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
Requirements:
EDUCATION & LICENSURE
High School Diploma or GED is required.
REQUIREMENTS
Two years’ experience in inventory control and/or warehousing operations. Experience in materials handling, purchasing, and stock control preferred.
