JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse inventory and associates.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to anticipate and solve problems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems. Associate degree in Business or similar discipline required. At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing leadership role required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Communicate with 1st and 2nd shift supervisor(s) to coordinate daily workflow ensuring customer order requirements are met. Conduct beginning shift meeting with associates to ensure daily work goals are understood. Directly supervise assigned warehouse associates. Identify and coordinate daily activities of team members; inspire your team to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge. Ensure that associates are trained on proper bpi processes for picking routes and transfers. Ensure all associates follow company policies, processes, and work rules including safety work rules. Hold associates accountable to bpi processes by addressing errors, with follow up training & disciplinary actions when applicable. Document and resolve any warehouse associate issues/errors daily. Assign associates to begin picking transfer routes after loading processes are complete. Work 22 screen according to bpi process for outgoing & incoming transfer trucks. Address any open issues on 22 screen for routes and transfers & determine root cause. Review staged material to ensure bpi packaging standards are followed for proper handling. Ensure route trucks are loaded properly and material is secured for safe transit to customers. Upload manifests to POD & reconcile previous day routes according to bpi process. Create cycle count batches according to cycle count plan from inventory supervisor. Delegate one associate to physically count material & enter counts into AS400. Delegate a second associate for recounts. Use guidelines provided by inventory supervisor for batches that can be updated by 3rd shift. Ensure that returns are scanned after midnight & follow bpi process for checking returns before scanning (quantities, serial numbers, shelf life, prior credits, material is acceptable, etc.). Ensure that receiving needs as assigned by receiving supervisor are handled, create, receive and update manifests as needed. Work with other first shift supervisors & warehouse manager for scheduling & approving vacation requests to ensure that bpi is properly staffed. Work with warehouse manager for scheduling associate shifts based on customer requirements. Ensure that assigned warehouse associates are performing forklift inspections on their shift. Manage aisle monitoring program and address housekeeping needs on shift. Daily communication with warehouse manager and as situations dictate. Work on projects as assigned by warehouse manager and delegate to associates where applicable. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work overtime as assigned. Travel overnight as required. Work cooperatively with others. Work in non-climate controlled environment. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
