This person provides support to the warehouse automation systems, AutoStore and Geek+. They will have expertise in warehouse automation to lead all change-related activities for the warehouse automation process. The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field or year for year directly related experience 8 + years’ experience working with JAVA and SQL 5 + years’ experience working with database query, high availability applications, event-driven services 2 + years’ experience working with APIs 2+ years’ experience leading project and initiatives We have a preference for: Knowledge and experience with PC engineering and network configurations Knowledge of PLCs and conveyor systems Knowledge of general understanding of database structures and query approaches Knowledge of Business or application of distribution applications Knowledge of organization, and operating procedures for the Warehouse and manufacturing aspects of the company. Knowledge of order processing, fulfillment, and/or distribution system Knowledge and understanding of warehouse IT infrastructure, including server management, networking, and cloud-based systems. Ability to query databases and interpret automation system logs for troubleshooting. Familiarity with APIs, middleware, and integration methods between warehouse automation systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms. Experience in applying software updates, patches, and system version upgrades for warehouse automation solutions. Strong analytical skills to assess system performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimizations. The Warehouse Automation Systems Lead key responsibilities are: Serves as the key liaison between warehouse operations, logistics, IT developers, IT infrastructure, and automation vendors. Leads system enhancements by working closely with automation vendors and IT developers in system changes, integrations, API connections, and software updates while assessing impact on warehouse workflows. Ensures operational continuity by coordinating and validating any system upgrades, minimizing disruptions to warehouse operations. Drives issue resolution through proactive troubleshooting and escalates system issues to vendors when necessary, following up on resolutions and leading root cause analysis (RCA). Develops and maintains automation best practices by documenting system incidents, resolutions, and key operational protocols including disaster recovery stategies. Stays updated on the latest trends in warehouse automation, robotics, and AI-driven logistics. Provides first-level support for the selected third-party automation vendor’s software for quickly restoring the service to normalcy, limiting the overall business impact. Performs routine operations for automation such as: Restarting services related to automation. Bringing automation systems down and back up following a sequence of events Participates, contributes and represents IT teams for the Business continuity plans for the warehouse operations.
Hiring Salary Range:
$108,000k – $138,000k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
