THE OPPORTUNITY
This is the final stepbefore taking over your own site. You will learn to representCapstone with our Partners, manage day-to-day activities withassociates, all the while ensuring that safety and productivity arealways the focus. At this stage, you may be asked to run portionsof the business or perhaps an entire shift. The Site Supervisorwill train new hires and provide an environment that is teamcentric. This is a training opportunity to hone the skillsnecessary to run your own site. With the growth that Capstone hasexperienced over the past years, it could be sooner than you think!
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiation of rates with common carrierrepresentatives Running site with safety and efficiency aspriorities Writing and balancing daily bank deposits Creation ofdaily work logs and transmission of same to corporate Audit ofdaily labor and billing reports Ensure customer needs are met on adaily basis. Document and resolve any customer service or associateissues daily. Ensure all associates follow Capstone policies andwork rules including Capstone safety work rules. Hold weekly safetymeetings and ensure associate participation. Assist in managingSite and Departmental budget. Scheduling associate shifts based oncustomer requirements. Interview, hire, and train new associates.
Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all servicesperformed. Complete daily closeout, including cash balancing, dataupload, and payroll record administration according to Capstonepolicies and standard operating procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 yearsof supervisory / leadership experience in an industrial setting.
Bilingual preferred Proven experience in providing high levels ofcustomer service to internal and external customers. Ability totrain, coach, and mentor warehouse associates. Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Strongorganization and prioritizing skills. Ability to simultaneouslyperform multiple tasks. Ability to solve problems and makeeffective decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to managebudgets; read and interpret P&L statements; and prepare relatedmanagement reports. Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel,Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability tostand for a long period of time. Ability to safely operate materialhandling equipment as needed. Ability to work in a warehouseenvironment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Third-Party experiencepreferred. BS/BA Degree or Associate Degree with EquivalentExperience is a plus but not required Excellent interpersonalcommunication, leadership, and customer service skills. The abilityto make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, anddirect the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.
Proven track record in supervision of warehouse employees includingHiring, Training, and Termination. Experience with managing budgetsand ability to create & maintain various management reports.
Intermediate computer experience, ideally with Microsoft products.
Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and adding and subtractingmentally while constantly multi-tasking.
