Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Specialist for our Anniston, AL facility. Functional Responsibilities Must know, follow, and demonstrate compliance with all safety rules and understand working safely is a condition of employment
Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’s, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality System requirements (SQF) are in compliance
Receive raw materials and other non-inventory items; verify conformance to quality requirements, assure accurate counts, and complete all necessary documentation
Process incoming and outgoing shipments Load/unload trucks
Maintain clean and organized work area
Supply production operation with raw materials by safety operating fork/clamp trucks
Prepare finished goods for shipment
Bale waste paper and keep appropriate records
Communicate all pertinent information to the press crews and Customer Service Functional Requirements Must be able to work effectively with crew, promoting a team environment
Maintain quotas and production standards
Maintain quotas or production standards
Safety equipment required (safety shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses)
Shift work is required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience
Fork/clamp truck certification is preferred Skills Read and understand a manufacturing order
Ability to safely and properly operate clamp/fork trucks
Must be well-organized
Must effectively communicate with drivers and crews
Must work effectively as a team player and demonstrate and promote team spirit Must be able to successfully communicate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are met
