Assistant Warehouseman Position Available In Colbert, Alabama

Works closely with the Warehouseman/CFO/Purchasing Department to maintain inventory materials adequate to satisfy the daily needs of all crews. He/She is responsible for keeping all warehouses and storage areas clean, neat, and safe by making daily inspections of materials and facilities. He/She is also responsible for delivering materials to crews when necessary and keeps all bins stocked. Person must be able to accurately enter materials issued and received on the current operating system. He/She keeps up-to-date records on all items and maintains MSDS sheets and other such files. Regular reliable attendance is required, and the job must be performed at the utility facility or the utility job site.

Forklift experience requiredMust have knowledge or ability to learn all materials in the various departments of the utility industry; make timely purchase requests for all materials used by the electric, gas, water and wastewater departments, and check all inventory on a daily basis in order to replenish stock levels.

Ability/willingness to respond quickly in order to open warehouse and issue material at any time during emergencies or outages in answer to supervisors call to come to work and to work extended hours until assistance is no longer needed by supervisor.
