POSITION SUMMARY

The LakeScape Landscape General Laborer is responsible for building and constructing landscapes and is the foundation of the production process. They will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment and work in various roles from paver installation, building retaining walls, irrigation installation and repair, fertilizer and chemical applications, and mowing maintenance. They will take direction from their crew lead, field supervisors, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while delivering a quality product to the client. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Operate various tools and equipment, including chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, shovels, hammers, drills, zip levels, etc.
• Assist in construction of walkways, fences, decks, post installation, dig ditches and trenches, etc.
• Mix, pour, spread and level concrete, transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows and hands.
• Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns, load and unload materials, tools and equipment required to complete the landscape project.
• Perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, lubricate and cleaning of tools and equipment used on jobsites.
• Assist crew lead with any job related tasks and preparations, including loading materials and preparing jobsites.
• Ensure all work activities are carried out safely and efficiently and all crew members comply with company, industry and governmental safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the landscape or construction industry.
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
• Must posses a valid drivers’ license or the ability to obtain one within 120 days of hiring.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work outdoors in various conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform installations, repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

$17.00 – $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
