Primarily supports welders by preparing materials, cleaning theworkspace, and performing basic task They may cut, grind, and prepare metal for welding, ensuring thework area is safe and organized.
Responsibilities:
Material Preparation:
Cutting, grinding, and preparing metal for welding. This includesusing saws, grinders, and other tools to shape and size metalpieces according to specifications.
Shop Maintenance:
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools andequipment are properly stored and maintained.
Assisting Welders:
Helping welders with tasks like setting up equipment, loadingmaterials, and providing support as needed.
Following Instructions:
Performing tasks according to instructions from supervisors orwelders, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, wearing appropriatepersonal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safetyconcerns.
Quality Control:
I Inspecting completed work for quality and ensuring it meetsspecifications.
