We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for a medical waste treatment facility in Dothan, AL. A Plant Operator has a wide-ranging role, encompassing tasks such as checking in containers, double-checking paperwork, moving and unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys variety in their work and can think critically to solve practical problems. Responsibilities Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers using the weighbridge Load and operate the autoclave machine Load the container washing and sanitization system Drive a forklift and operate hand trucks once trained Lift to 55 lbs and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 lbs Accurately complete paperwork required to process items Stand for extended periods of time Work effectively with a team Requirements Can-do attitude with a commitment to efficient, timely scheduling Previous experience in a labor-intensive job involving repetitive lifting of 50-75 lb containers Proven longevity with previous employers Benefits Job stability is an essential healthcare service Opportunities for overtime Consistent full-time work hours – 2nd Shift (1pm-10pm) Permanent position at 40 hours per week Competitive salary of $15.00 per hour
