What You’ll Get to Do The Material Handler 1 is focused on handling ready-to-install glass material as it goes through the tempering process and reports to the Furnace 2 Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who possesses great attention to detail, physical stamina, and has the ability to work with a team. A vital member of the Furnace 2 Department this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

Lift and arrange glass on/off the conveyor. Work with a partner to properly and safely load and unload glass from the machine. Use a computer system to input the proper operation for glass tempering and enter production data. Complete daily worksheets. Inspect all glass for defects such as chips, bubbles, scratches, blown holes, proper edgework, etc What We Are Looking For Basic computer knowledge to review work orders, enter data, and print documents. Ability to read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals. Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
