Material Handler 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 87 Upton Road, Colchester, CT 06415 Alpha Q is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team! Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to:: Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments Receive, inspect, and store incoming items Pack and ship orders to customers Ensure that all shipments are properly labeled and documented Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies Ensure that all safety protocols are followed when handling packages Load and unload trucks and containers Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of orders Operate forklift or hand truck to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or storage areas Perform computer functions to track various aspects of products Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Quality Assurance Maintain a safe and clean working environment Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications:

1 year’s shipping/receiving experience 1 year’s forklift experience Strong mathematical, organizational, time management, and communication skills Able to read and write in English Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor to meet customer demands

Education Required:

High school or vocational graduate
